Passionate and driven, Mike Karg has been ahead of the curve for the past 30 years. A pioneer in the art of dry haircutting, he was one of the first bi-coastal stylists, splitting his time between New York and L.A. where he tended to the locks of celebrities like Sharon Stone and Marisa Tomei, styled hair for music videos and fashion magazines, worked backstage at New York Fashion Week with designers like Todd Oldham and

Hugo Boss, and appeared on platform for Wella and Goldwell. Since American

Salon named him “Rising Star” in 1996, his star has only continued to ascend. His

precision-based, easy approach to haircutting is for stylists who want to make money behind the chair by delivering beautiful, wearable hairstyles that look good on anyone. Now with an academy in his native Switzerland and a line of 25 shears that enhance performance when cutting hair dry but can also be used on wet hair, he has perfected the KARG DryHairCut, which he shares in high-energy stage presentations, books and DVDs.

His latest venture is a collaboration with Product Club called PCK (Product Club KARG) for which he created three shears and a handful of accessories.

Currently KARG chops alongside celebrity colorist Michael Canale in Beverly Hills and at six other salons across the U.S. where his signature cuts are in demand.
